Is English spoken from the mouth?

That's a funny way to put it! While we use our mouths to *produce* the sounds of English, it's not accurate to say English is "spoken from the mouth."

Here's why:

* English is a system of communication: It includes sounds, words, grammar, and meaning. It's not just about the physical act of speaking.

* The brain is involved: Our brains are responsible for processing language, generating thoughts, and forming words.

* The mouth is a tool: It's the instrument we use to physically create the sounds of English.

So, while the mouth plays a vital role in speaking English, it's not the sole source of the language.
