What is the difference between word same and similar?

"Same" and "similar" both describe a likeness or resemblance, but there's a key difference:

Same: Means exactly identical, sharing all characteristics and features.

* Example: "My shirt and your shirt are the same color."

Similar: Means having some resemblance, but not necessarily identical. There may be differences in some aspects.

* Example: "My shirt and your shirt are similar in color, but mine is a slightly darker shade."

Here's a way to think about it:

* Same is like two perfect copies of the same object.

* Similar is like two objects that share some features, but aren't identical.

In simpler terms:

* Same: Two things are exactly the same.

* Similar: Two things are alike in some ways, but not in all ways.
