What part of speech is review?

"Review" can be several parts of speech, depending on its function in a sentence:

* Noun: A critical appraisal of a book, film, performance, etc. (e.g., "I wrote a review of the new restaurant.")

* Verb: To examine something carefully, especially with a view to making changes (e.g., "The committee will review the proposal.")

* Adjective: Describing something that has been reviewed (e.g., "This is a review copy of the book.")

So, the part of speech depends on the context in which it is used.
