Is it proper English to say thunk or thought?

"Thunk" and "thought" are both proper English words, but they have different meanings and uses.

Thunk is a verb that describes the sound something makes when it hits something else with a dull thud.

Example: "The rock thunked against the window."

Thought can be a noun, verb, or adjective:

* Noun: A mental idea, concept, or image.

* Verb: To think about something.

* Adjective: Carefully considered.

Examples:

* Noun: "I had a thought about what to cook for dinner."

* Verb: "I thought about what I wanted to say."

* Adjective: "She made a thoughtful decision."

So, it depends on what you want to say! If you want to describe a dull thudding sound, use "thunk." If you're talking about mental concepts, thinking, or careful consideration, use "thought."
