What does Aultruistic mean?

Altruistic means showing a disinterested and selfless concern for the well-being of others; unselfish.

It describes someone who:

* Prioritizes the needs of others over their own.

* Acts out of compassion and empathy, not personal gain.

* Is willing to sacrifice their own time, energy, or resources to help others.

Examples:

* A person who volunteers at a homeless shelter is acting altruistically.

* A doctor who works in a remote area with limited resources is being altruistic.

* A friend who helps you move, even though it takes time out of their own day, is displaying altruism.

Opposite of Altruistic:

The opposite of altruistic is selfish, egotistical, or self-centered. These words describe someone who primarily cares about their own needs and wants.
