What is a padre in Spanish?

The Spanish word for "padre" is padre itself. It means father, but it can also refer to a priest or a religious father.

Here are some examples:

* Mi padre es médico. (My father is a doctor.)

* El padre de la iglesia nos dio una bendición. (The priest of the church gave us a blessing.)

* Los padres de la comunidad se reunieron para discutir el futuro de la escuela. (The religious fathers of the community met to discuss the future of the school.)

It's important to note that in some contexts, "padre" can also be used as a term of respect for an older man, similar to "sir" in English.
