What does soy de... mean?

"Soy de..." in Spanish means "I am from..."

It is used to indicate your place of origin.

For example:

* Soy de México. (I am from Mexico.)

* Soy de España. (I am from Spain.)

* Soy de Nueva York. (I am from New York.)

You can also use it to express where you were born or where you consider your home to be.
