Do you put the title of an article in quotations?

It depends on where you're putting the title:

In a sentence:

* Yes, use quotation marks for the titles of articles, short stories, poems, songs, chapters, and other short works.

* No, don't use quotation marks for the titles of books, magazines, newspapers, websites, albums, plays, movies, and other long works. These titles are usually italicized instead.

In a bibliography or works cited list:

* No, don't use quotation marks in a bibliography. You'll typically italicize the title of the article and the journal, magazine, or website it's published in.

Examples:

* Sentence: I read an interesting article titled "The Future of Artificial Intelligence" in *Scientific American*.

* Bibliography:

* Author, A. A. (Year). Title of article. *Journal or Magazine Name*, *Volume Number*, *Issue Number*, pages.

Remember: Check your style guide (like MLA or APA) for specific formatting rules.
